Increase in Audits by New Controller

The new controller Anel Flores has sent 21 audits to the Court of Accounts in just 23 days of January, surpassing the 13 audits of former controller Gerardo Solís in all of 2024.

Increase in Audits by New Controller

Judge Reiniel Del Rosario reported that former comptroller Gerardo Solís sent only 13 audits to the Court of Accounts in the year 2024. This figure was significantly surpassed by the current comptroller Anel Flores, who has processed a total of 21 audits in just 23 days of January.

According to Del Rosario, the management of the new comptroller has been notably more effective in terms of sending audits compared to his predecessor. This marked difference in the number of reports submitted in such a short period highlights a positive change in the dynamics and efficiency of the auditing body.

It is important to emphasize the contrast between the actions of Solís and Flores regarding the number of audits submitted for analysis and evaluation. While Solís presented a limited number of reports over an entire year, Flores has demonstrated a more agile and committed work pace by leading the submission of a greater number of audits in a much shorter span.

In the words of Judge Del Rosario: "The difference in performance between the former comptroller and the current one is noticeable. The speed and effectiveness with which Comptroller Flores has sent 21 audits in just 23 days are a clear indicator of a positive change in the management of the Comptroller's Office."

The increase in the number of audits presented by Flores compared to the previous period evidences a more proactive and diligent approach in fulfilling the responsibilities of the Comptroller's Office. This greater productivity and diligence in work are key aspects to strengthen transparency and accountability in the management of public resources.
